II. MATTERS TAKEN UP/DISCUSSED
PMA Homecoming 2025
a. Class Uniform – a Polo Barong (Shirt Jack) made of Japanese Jusi cloth, color cream with class logo (plain with no color) embroidered on the left breast, will be tailored by Dantes Tailoring costing P1,500 each. A sample will be made to be shown to the Class once done, for further comments/approval of the class.
b. A Fedora hat will also be procured courtesy of a class benefactor, with a color ruby ribbon band. Each Mistah attending the Homecoming should provide his head size in centimeters for this. VPs to consolidate the sizes of their group members.
c. Part of the activities during the Homecoming is a Class Dinner on February 14, 2025, Valentine’s Day, to be held at Grande Hotel as the primary venue, with BCC as the alternate venue. Preparation in organizing this Class Dinner will be undertaken soonest after the venue has been determined already. Prez Ces to take charge on this venue.
d. Also taken up is the hiring of buses (at P60K per bus) that will ferry Mistahs and their spouses with 2 dependents on Homecoming Day, February 15, from Hotel Grande to PMA and back. Mistahs availing this bus transportation should signify including the number of their dependents, for planning purposes. VPs to consolidate the Mistahs in their respective group availing this bus
transportation.
e. Also in the plan is the transport of Mistahs and their dependents all the way from Manila to Baguio City on February 14, and back to Manila on February. As this will entail a lot of cost, we must determine also the number of Mistahs and their dependents who will avail of this, for evaluation on its feasibility having this transport coming from Manila. VPs again to determine from their respective group members the number on this to include the number of dependents.
f. Uniform for the Ladies will be left to the discretion of the ladies themselves. Sila na bahala sa design, color, etc. . . at tayo mga Mistah ang tagabayad lang.
Automatic yan!
g. The VPs were requested to canvass already those Mistahs in their respective groups who will be attending the Homecoming next year, to include the number of their dependents. Deadline for submission on this is before the end of September 2024, including items 1.b, d & e above.
h. Fundraising Activities: As our activities for next year’s Homecoming will entail costs for the bus
transportation and the Class Dinner, among others, there is a need to conduct a fundraising activity which is the Golf Tournament. The Class golfers will be tasked to plan, organize and undertake this class project which should be done not later than November, if kaya. Prez Ces will take charge in discussing the matter with the MGs.
i. Utilization of Class Fund Collected for Medical Purposes. This Fund which was collected from each Mistah in the amount of P10K in 2022, was brought up particularly on the mechanics in the utilization of the Class Fund. The money, totaling P793,149.65 now as of 31 May 2023, has been idle and not being used for its purpose. With no definite action taken on this, asking again Mistahs to contribute to this Fund may be difficult to convince Mistah to do so. Prez Ces has promised to look into this and to endeavor to come up with the Mechanics in the Utilization of this Fund. It was also noticed that there are some Mistahs who have not contributed to this Fund. For further details on this Fund, pls contact our Treasurer, Jun Sanchez.
