It’s been worthy to note that more and more members of the Class, join golf games and it’s becoming more often in different golf courses even outside the Metropolis. Some people say once you start playing golf, you get addicted to it. Others say that golf has replaced sex. Of course, the men over sixty are saying it. Debatable? Let’s find out.

At this stage in our life (most have already reached 60) is it practical to start learning how to play golf? This came about because of one reported incident when the Caddie master walks over to a golfer and warned that he was almost a meter beyond the tee-line and that he would have to move the ball back. The golfer ignored him. The Caddie master repeated his instruction but was again ignored. This went on for several minutes until the golfer got irritated and turned to another player and said “Will you tell this Caddie master that it’s my second shot?!

It was indeed fun attending birthdays of August and September celebrants followed by a tournament of ARAL members. The championship trophy was turned over by the dethroned Champion, Gil M, to the new champions Sammy DBand Tony B.

The September 16 birthday celebration was held in a new venue, Balesin, not the famous island resort. Mar Men led the group in greeting the celebrants with this awesome musical instrument. This was followed by videoke songs from June C, Colines, Ric P, Ces, Boy Bolo, and Vic C.
