Breaking News. December 18, 2016. The Mapitagans together with their wives converged at Oakwood, not for a coup but for the pasko hehe.

The reigning president, Jayvee Javier, surrendered his seat and a new one was elected, unanimously and unopposed. We were all very happy to see Dipon and Paladaon. Paco misses Faji so much! Vic Caragan welcomed Bato (1sr row rightmost). Thanks to our elder statesman Tony, as Onell calls him, and to the whole Baraquiels: Neva, Angel, Trina, Sunshine and Jabi for pitching in their talents, time and efforts. Thank you to the outgoing president and his lady, Jojo, as emcees – for maintaining the pace of fun and enjoyment. The event was a gathering of kumpares and kumares y lolos and lolas, no longer anymore as classmates. Time and temperature have aged and bonded everybody so well . . .

Carrying of apos during the whole duration of the event is no amount. The boys were trained for that, parang rifle lang yan…

The ladies were all blooming and now have mastered how to handle their respective husband. The gentlemen are saintly and all well behaved outside Viber-Chat hihi. Thanks to Mistah Ricky Sandoval for gracing the affair! Anybody who wants a respite, join him in his “Novena” at Manila Bay. Just tell him. You can signify with Tanjo or Ige.

I will not tell you anymore about our preparation for homecoming because you will be reading this on that day, February 18, 2017 – exactly our 37th graduation anniversary. “Thank you Lord for letting us reach this far, where one by one of us is acquiring his senior citizenship. Amen” Three more years and we shall be Ruby Jubilarians; then, Golden Jubilarians on February 18, 2030. Kitakits tayong lahat dyan sa araw na yan ha? WALANG INDIANAN!

Watch out for these people as they climb the ladder of success tracing our footsteps, the next generation of Mapitagans. Guess whose children they are? A twin US Coast Guards, a US Air Force jet fighter, a MAC officer, a J6, JAGS, the first lady candidate for major general, 3 aspiring FOICs, 3 aspiring CGPAF, 3 aspiring CGPA (not in picture, the son of Rainier) and we have 9 chances of having a Mapitagan-born be a CSAFP someday. Mukhang walang gusto mag pulis sa lahi natin. Bakit kaya?
