Irreparable loss… May 15, 1977, Sunday, Pantabangan … Four of our classmates died on this day as the truck they were in fell off the dam spillway. Bleak Sunday it was … happy bunch we left for a picnic, but it had to go that way… in memory of joseph Simangan, Alfredo Husmalaga, Orlino Corpus, Nanie Suyo, we lift our thoughts heavenward.

2. ATOC, JESUS ISIDORO C. O-8131 PSupt (PNP) 02 January 1957 – 14 August 2023 (66 years old). He passed away after being in a coma at Cebu Chong Hua Hospital for almost a week due to brain hemorrhage.

“After three months, on 11 May 2025, we were shocked again to learn about the untimely demise of Mistah Joel ‘Epoy’ Marayag. Reportedly, he was resting in their house in Fairview after doing some exercise on a stationary bicycle, when he collapsed. He was rushed to the nearest hospital, but all efforts to revive him were all for naught. He had, notably, undergone an angioplasty two years ago and was well on his way to recovery.“ Class Call 2Qtr 2025.

“Just after the Homecoming activities in Baguio City, sad news dampened our spirits during this momentous and cheerful time of the year. Our beloved Mistah Eldon Nemenzo finally joined our Creator on 18 February 2025, a day after his 68th birthday. Eldon had been bedridden for more than 10 years after suffering a debilitating stroke. His peaceful passing on to the great beyond was a relief from the suffering he endured throughout his illness. after 12 years bedridden.” Class Call 2Qtr 2025.

19. RIVERA, ALBERTO U., Ens (PN): 07 January – 20 Sept 1981 (23 years old). He was the fourth casualty of our class when their Navy vessel BRP Datu Kalantiaw (PS-76) was forced to ran aground by Typhoon Clara in the rocky shores of Calayan Island in northern Philippines on 21 Sep 1981. Bushen was one of the 79 of the 97-man crew that perished in that one of the worst disasters in the history of the Philippine Navy.
